Hello All

It's that time of year again and I'm recruiting for volunteers for this years Events.

This year we are going to explore the theme of Addiction, we will be focusing on the work of our CMS partners, Izhod in Russia, who work with recovering drug addicts. We will also be getting people to explore the problems off addiction in their own communities and their own lives, and have a resource pack to support this. As a way of introduce the Addiction theme we are taking chocolate fountains to this years events!

There are a variety of Events which you can be involved in;

Festival of Life 31st March http://www.festivaloflife.org.uk/

CRE 9th - 12th May (you only need to come for one day) http://www.creonline.co.uk/

New Wine A from 22nd - 28th July http://www.new-wine.org/
New Wine B 30th - 5th August

Soul Survivor A 9th - 13th August http://www.soulsurvivor.co.uk/
Soul Survivor B 14th - 18th August
Soul Survivor Momentum 19th - 23rd August

Greenbelt this year is from the 25th to the 28th of August and if people would like to come and help set up we will be there from the 23rd August. http://www.greenbelt.org.uk/

There is also going to be a Food Hygiene Training afternoon on the 25th of April so that we are covered for using the chocolate fountain!

There are stories form last years events in the previous posts so please have a look!

If you would like to take up this fabulous opportunity or have any questions then please email me cat.morgan@cms-uk.org or call me on 020 7803 3366

Thanks

Happy New Year!

Hello all,

Hope you had a good Christmas. I did and now its back to the grindstone!

As we all had so much fun last summer (see earlier bloggs) I thought I would let you know about the opportunities there are this year to get involved with CMS at some of the events and festivals.

Spring Harvest from the 1st to the 23rd of April, we are trying to find people who would be willing to commit to doing a week at either of the Minehead or Skegness sites.
http://www.springharvest.org/

Christian Resource Exhibition at Esher from the 9th to the 12th of May. We usually only ask people to commit to a day for this but of course if you want to do more you can.
http://www.creonline.co.uk/

New Wine will run from 22nd July to the 5th August at the Southern Venue in Somerset and from 22nd to 28th of July in the Northern Venue Newark. Again we ask people to commit to do a week at either of these venues.
http://www.new-wine.org/

Soul Survivor also runs from the Somerset Venue and there are three weeks from the 9th to the 23rd of August. Again we ask people to make themselves available for a week.
http://www.soulsurvivor.co.uk/

Greenbelt this year is from the 24th to the 28th of August and if people would like to come and help set up we will be there from the 23rd August.
http://www.greenbelt.org.uk/

As most of you know the accommodation is basic mostly camping or caravans but we do pay for your ticket to the events and you will get to attend the worship and some of the seminars and workshops they run. We will also feed you while you are staying at the festivals!

If you would like to help CMS out at any of the events please email me cat.morgan@cms-uk.org

Look forward to hearing from you all!

Happy 2006. God Bless

Recent updates of note

Yesterday Sam Leach, who went to Pakistan back in the spring to represent CMS at a Youth conference, had uploaded his pictures onto blahonline. It seems that our thoughts were meant to be directed to that part of the world in the light of the Earthquake that took place in that northern region of Pakistan this morning. I will be monitering stuff on my blog .
On a lighter note check out Ruth Martin's blog on blahonline as she has just returned from Uganda.

Have you got that Autumn feeling?

Hi Everybody,

This last week I have notice a distinct drop in temperature, I'm a little sad but it seems summer is now over. Another clue I have is that I am now in the office much more rather than having fun gallivanting around the country sleeping in tents in the middle of fields. Truth is that I'm missing my summer adventures! I feel I need a dose of reminiscing to help me through this rather gray Friday. So I need you all to log on and either add one of your favorite memories of the summer as a comment or even add your own post which you can do from your dashboard when you sign in (you can add photos as well!). It would be great to hear from you all!
